J, of Philippine decent, began his music career in 1996 by answering an audition ad in the New York Village Voice for a male vocal group. He was a member the next day and within 3 months left to do a solo effort on an independent label. Unsatisfied with the results, he left and began doing his own gigs. Presently he is building an underground buzz thanks to the help of WBLS 107.5 for spinning his single “I Don’t Mind”. He has performed in such venues such as Madison Square Garden, CBGB’s and S.O.B.’s. Outside of music, J is the co-owner of the popular clothing line PinoyWear. His smooth style is definitely worthlooking out as he has full capability of being tomorrow’s superstar. |
