Tah Phrum Dah Bush "Sunshine or Pure Shade"
Tah develops an incredible recipe of versatility, originality, and flows topped off with a dope sense of humor. On "MicroP-H-One-01," Tah just simply breaks down how to rip a live show. On "Shine" he breaks down to new jacks just how to create your own buzz. Also with some of his stripped down tracks, you can focus more on his rhyming ability. "2 Second Ejaculation" is a hilarious diss on some sucka punk that has a flow that reminds you of a young hungry Kool G. Rap. Also, make sure to check out "Today is the Day" and the hilarious "Lay That Pipe." Definitely a must have for any real hip-hop heads. |

GC and Soul Mafia "GC and Soul Mafia"
Versatile GC and Soul Mafia provide a refreshing sound to an industry that is scared to take risks. GC is his own triple threat by rapping, playing the sax on many of the tracks on this CD, and putting on a strong live show. In the heatseeker "In America", GC breaks down his view on the corruption in the "land of the free, home of the brave." Also make sure to check out the songs "Get off the Ground" and "Crazy". |

Heather Hunter "The Unexpected"
Former adult film star Heather Hunter comes strong with her latest album off Blo Records. With cameos from hip-hop legends like EST (3X Dope), Akinyele, and Mister Cee, this album is sure to make an impact on the industry. With production by Scott Storch and DJ Premier, bangers like "So Serious" and "Wassup", and a limited edition DVD, Heather definitely dropped "The Unexpected" on us. Highly worth the purchase. |

Readnex "F.O.S.S.L."
This album proves that there is more to hip-hop is more than just. This collection of "MC's" put some incredible poetry over some hot hip-hop tracks and some straight scapulas. This unique album touches various concepts and reaches new boundaries as it sucks you in to their spoken word scenarios. Do yourself a favor and pick up this album for mental vacation from your average hip-hop collection. |

Lina "The Inner Beauty Movement"
Definitely the hottest R&B album I heard this year. Straight from Hidden Beach Records comes their latest secret weapon who is a cross between Billie Holiday, Eryka Badu, Lauren Hill, and Macy Gray. It's really hard to decipher a favorite track on this masterpiece, but "Hope, Wish, and Pray" and "Leaving You" would be my two favorites. Make sure to also get your vibe on with "My Fix" and "I Am" which also strongly stand out on this CD. |

Jaguar Wright "Divorcing Neo 2 Marry Soul"
Another masterpiece delivered from one of R&B's most consistent individuals. Jaguar, now with Artemis Records, not only showcases her talent with her smooth melodic vocals, but with her pen as well writing or co-writing majority of this latest album. Songs like "Free" and "Let Me Be the One" are my two favorite tracks on this CD. |

DJ Piklz "Off The Meatracks"
Straight off the meatrack come Jerseys latest secret weapon. DJ Piklz, hailing from Neptune, proves his worth in his latest compilation "Off The Meatracks" of 98 Proof Recordings. With his large array of dope tracks accompanied by a heavy onslaught of deadly underground MC's, Piklz proves that this album is only the beginning. Check out the hot joints "Here's Just One Reason", "Watch Yo Mouf", and the hilarious "Monstersquad". |

Weerd Science
The new album from Coheed & Cambria's drummer Weerd Science reveals his alter-ego in this fascinating album "Friends and Nervous Breakdowns" Although some of the titles of the songs may seem a little offbeat or cruel, this hilarious album is definitely one you will keep in your car CD changer for a while. With 15 strong tracks including must hear songs like "Conspiracy Theories Without Mel Gibson", "Superfriends" and "Joshua, They're Laughing At You", this album is definitely a soon to be underground classic. My personal favorite "Pieces" where he describes the rebuilding of a relationship with "when the butterflies turn into butcher knives". |

High & Mighty "12th Man"
The dynamic duo returns with the proof of why they are so High & Mighty. With Mighty Mi's concrete hard tracks laced Mr. Eon's brillo coarse vocals, this album is one of the few that you can listen and nod your head straight through. Tracks like the rough and rugged "Wonderama" and flashback track "Outta Here" are my personal favorites, but don't sleep on the funniest track on the CD, "Dumb" (with the sample from Run DMC's Dumb Girl) and watch Milo do his thing on the fresh "String Music." |

Edan - "Beauty"
The eagerly anticipated follow-up album by Edan definitely lives up to it expectations. Totally self-produced and containing some vocals contributed by Percee P, Mr. Lif, Insight, and Dagha, this album shines due to lyrical content, obscure beats and samples, and the messages portrayed. With some of his material reminiscent of the good ol' Cold Chillin days, this album is sure to please today's audience as well as hip-hop enthusiast. There are many gems on this album including "I See Colours" and "Fumbling over Words That Rhyme", but my personal favorite is the heavy Kool G Rap influenced "Torture Chamber."
